Great scenery and some lovely camera work cant succeed its original brother in 'alone'. The characters seem ungenuine, many of the plots and encounters seem completely staged, I loved Alone, it was simple, who ever lasts the longest wins, there was alot of focus on the strains and dangers of being alone in the wilderness that kept me hooked, this feels more like a social experiment, a kind of American Survivor but in Alaska. I watched through to see the outcome but couldnt help but wish this was more genuine and gritty. The characters all nicely shaven and clean, were they really out there with nothing?
