Personally, I found this book to be incredibly drawn out and uninteresting! In the beginning things were fine: angsty teenage girl trying to overcome her grief by finding her mother’s killer is really interesting, but the author didn’t do that story justice at all!!! After the first few chapters every chapter was the same. MC grieving her mother and griping over her miserable life (understandable btw just not interesting to read about). A lot of the story was poorly written as well. This might have something to do with older generations trying to capture the teenage/ YA culture but reading some of the dialogue was insufferable and frankly just following the story was difficult: a lot of the paragraphs were excessive and unnecessary. Also, the story was quite choppy and the writing felt very lazy and random in every sense of the words, making it hard to follow and endure at times. I’m very disappointed in the ending. it wasn’t unexpected per se but it also wasn’t a smack in the face plot twist (anticlimactic to say the least). It took me quite some time to finish and i probably wouldn’t recommend to anyone else but thrillers and suspense novels can be hit or miss and it fell short with me I hope others enjoyed it more than I . IMO 2/5 stars
