John Snow's assertion on C4 News 7 pm this evening (06/12) that a second vote would lead to people rioting on the streets in the event of a decision to remain is inconsistent with the facts and wildly speculative for lazy journalistic reasons. The Lisbon Treaty and Art 50, the holy grail of brexiteers, is the result of a SECOND Referendum itself as it was turned down first time around by the Irish electors. It eventually was passed in a second referendum but this did not lead to a democratic deficit, disengagement in the political process or less still riots in the streets. We need less reporting to support prejudice and jingoistic tendencies and more fact based reporting in line with the excellent survey carried out by C4 a couple of wseeks ago
