Ask the doctor - episode Regarding the affects of alcohol has on our health in Australian society
Hey There . After watching your program for the 1st time this morning , I've been left feeling bewildered and confused ! Apart from the terrifying , death / desease / and major injury & incident statistics not having visible changes of lessening but the educated professionals filmed , whom I'm sure are brilliant in their fields -most certainly haven't needed to conduct anything like this group RBT as part of normal duties of day to day . I am not at all studied nor employed in or around the drug/alcohol profession but I've had many varied experiences both sides of alcohol outcomes ( innocently impacted & as a law offender ) . I've also worked in various industries which has continued problems with drugs , alcohol and sadly a distinct secret expectation from the male dominated ranks , quickly applied in the camp compounds Wet Mess (or the Bar) a ploy if you will , purchases of alcohol compliments are free & abundant for females , reputation , gossip & no escape produces more drinking , then sadly sexual promiscuousity /misconduct & attacks even staff preforming OTHER duties but what they're employed to provide whilst in FIFO camps & mine sites for weeks on end . Regular testing is often done at prestarts , with large work force tested continually until complete. With these if any reading registers there will be residual and if its used as you showed , there's not only continual variance but also fresh mouth alcohol and expected higher readings well after the last drop passes the lips ! It is how we precieve ourselves to be, unless the deadly consequences so obviously apparent from this legal but highly lethal product are consistently put forward for real changes to clearly make its mark no lessons will truly save lives but possibly even higher statistics is all to be achieved ! I'm concerned incorrect "facts" your program addressed & could wrongly educated ,even 1 solitary young person which hasn't the knowledge or experiences of a more life prepared driver , that is informed by true fact .. Also my major issue compounded by the professional stating that a participant was just under the legal alcohol driver limit . His test reading was .049 and that isn't under the legal limit , IT IS the legal limit & .05 is above allowable driver range & by true definition - classified as Low range drink driving & a chargeable offence .. Could've been up there for a gold logie but exception of groups lack of actual experiences from actions = probability = consequence
But not suggesting anyone drink & drive to gain proof of my ranting or the shut it down either .. All aside , I did enjoy the concept and passion displayed so I will keep watching in the future
Sincerely
