In this time where "they dont make them like they used to", this is a hidden gem i havent heard until today. As a completely desensitised person to horror, i can say this was unnerving at times and had 1 great jump scare (albeit among many other cheap ones).
Story wasnt the most original, but it was cohesive, not unnecessarily convoluted and easy to follow and invest into. Makes you think what you would do in their place.
Music, sound effects are a work of art in this movie, enhancing the overall experience by making everything more unnerving and nerve-racking.
Trigger warning. Heavy suicide and mental illness themes.
Overall i think this is the scariest (not best) horror movie of at least the last 5 years.
