Going into this blind (avoid trailers these days because they reveal everything) and having literally just finished watching it, I can say that Demi Moore’s character evokes a lot of sympathy, but that’s about it. The film’s message is very simple but the execution was overdone and jarring for shock value. Special effects were pretty good, but I agree with other viewers that had it been directed by a man, the film would’ve been cast out onto its backside. Majority of the film has unnecessary naked shots (pushing the porny vibes to their limit) and all of it just comes across visually and aurally verbose. Definitely dragged on too.
This is no way a horror classic either.
Most films push for top viewership ratings, because hey, millions of dollars were spent making them right? But sometimes it’s ok to miss the movies people are raving on about.
