First of all let me start with saying this movie was kind of a waste of my time. CONS: The whole plot was a bunch of jumbled nonsense thrown together by someone who clearly just wanted to make a quick dollar. I found myself physically unable to keep my eyes open due to the sheer amount of nonsensical and completely bogus scenes. None of the characters had any sort of personality maybe except for the heron who was just plain annoying just like most other studio ghibli villains. Don't even get me started on the obvious "marketable character" copy and pasting (here I am referring to the "warawaras" basically being a copy and paste of the idea of sprites from spirited away). There were just so many characters that were impossible to keep track of while all still lacked depth and personality. Simply, to sum it up for you in a few words this movie was: disappointing, boring, unoriginal, and balderdash. PROS: Trying to think more optimistically about the movie, I guess the animation was good although it is basically the same as every other movie. The ending was okay though I thought it was interesting how Mahito ended up in the end. Some scenes were interesting although they were only at the end of the movie. What I am trying to get at is the end of the movie is good but the journey there was just kind of boring :/
