I bought this album when it was first released THIRTY years ago ! It’s the one cd I must have access to in the event that I might need to hear one or all of the tracks ! The deep and wistful storytelling combined with the production is second to none . Giving the listeners insight into lives of people who seem to have had strong personalities, but who were often misunderstood and followed down a path that didn’t always end well , and often were misled by people who weren’t who they made themselves out to be . Adam Duritz strong and soulful voice is mesmerizing , bringing the listener into an almost dreamlike place of someone else’s reality ! I often feel the need to go THERE ! I never tire of this album ! Simply put … Beautiful , just beautiful .
