This is not a racy scifi action movie that will keep us on the edge of the seat. It takes a more grounded approach on the story. Like the Norwegian outpost/caravan thst sits on a thin sheet of ice on the artic, our existence in this universe is on a blue planet that could get destroyed by the very same natural forces that allowed life to evolve and flourish. The film shows how fragile we are. There were some beautiful moments like the kid speaking the only words that mattered "did you love her", to Clooney getting his peace before his end. There were some hard moments. There were some unanswered questions that will linger after the movie ends, like are there other humans still surviving on earth?,
what happened to the two astronauts who came down?, did Aether reach K23 safely?, What caused the cataclysmic activity that wiped out humanity? Thats how the film gets a grounded storyline. It doesn't gives us the wider picture, as we known is always a drop.
