I honestly, I truly loved this movie. Like, even my parents watched it with me and my younger brothers. What I don't get is how offended most adults are about what is talked about in the film. They are basically dissing it because it talks about periods. Periods are a normal part of a girl's life and if they are so offended by the movie expressing the truth, then they obviously lie or keep secrets from their children on a daily basis. This is the most realistic Disney movie yet. That's why I like it. So if a young child sits down and watches it, they'll be informed on what it's like to be 13 or a 13 year old girl. They'll understand that parents will be overprotective at times and when they get older, they'll want to do a lot of things. I believe parents don't like the fact that movie exposes a lot of truth. Most parents are so invested in lying to their children about the Easter bunny, Santa Clause, and the tooth fairy, that they hate on the movie. I mean if your child questions anything in the movie that you don't want them to know, then just simply tell them "I'll tell you when you're older." And if they get even more curious, just tell them in a polite way, hinting at the subject. It's best that they know now and not when they're grown. This also prevents kids from thinking periods are disgusting when their just a normal part of life. So to all the adults who are hating on the movie, remember this "At some point, they're going to know, they have to know, and they will know. One way or another."
