Before I make any statements I want to say I finished the whole game, that being said let's just say that it was good but not a masterpiece. It had redeeming qualities that I liked from the first game and I loved the memory sequences with Joel and ellie. The graphics in this game are amazing and the gameplay is decent. The people that worked on this game made everything so realistic and beautiful. 10/10 for the animation crew. There were things in this game that was so satisfying that I wish was in the first game. But for me honestly, towards the ending of this game its story fell flat. I get what they were trying to get across and I admire that....but I won't play this game again. Plus watching Joel get brutally murdered with a golf club more than once made me sick to my stomach.
