Moonfall is very pretty to look at, and it has lots of action, but all of the characters are stereotypes. After watching the entire movie, I didn't care about the fully replaceable characters one bit. The writing style is nearly exclusively of the style, "Oh wow, what a miracle that we just discovered this way that'll make everything work together perfectly", which is repeated every step of the way through the film. There are a few deaths thrown in for no purpose, but they are random background characters the viewer doesn't know - red shirts in the original Star Trek.
