the world itself was stunning but so many little things added up to make the gameplay less enjoyable… if you’re a Harry Potter fan you’ll love it, but as a gamer more so than I am a fan of the franchise, I felt let down by certain things which I will list some of below (spoilers ahead). The buildings/walls/stairs in the vivariums don’t connect so you can’t create seamless designs. Nor can you place items on the floors of buildings in them. A lot of the ancient magic spots where you have to get the circle things you can just get by flying on your broom (even though it very clearly is set up so you have to climb or get through locks ect). You can’t sell potions or plants/herbs which you will likely end up with an abundance of that you just don’t need, even on hard level. Don’t even get me started on the clothing system… if you can change the appearance of items why have offence/defence points associated with a particular item ???? the npcs look like they came from those early barbie movies like swan lake and that came out in 2003!! Really I expected a lot better movement and graphics from a game released in 2023 and from such a big franchise. No one can argue they don’t have the money or resources to have made it better than it is. The game has a lot of potential, but some aspects just missed the mark.
