I watched Kaafir in Zee5 OTT. The story revolved around a Pakistani woman. The charcter was done by Dia Mirza as Kainazz Akhtar. The hero, Mohit Raina doing the charater of Vedant Rathod, was a journalist and also a lawyer.
Vedant, while watching a video footage, saw a woman with a child being escorted by army personnel. He immediately wanted to meet the woman and take an interview. So, he started collecting the information about the woman.
Kainazz was a Pakisthani and was in jail as she was suspected to be a terrorist. After much difficulty, Vedant got a chance to interview her in prison.
Kainazz who wanted to end her life, jumped into a river in Pakistan, was washed ashore live along Indian border with two more bodies of militants. Suspecting her as a militant, she was sent to jail for seven years where she delivered a girl child.
After hearing her story, Vedant took up her case. Whether he got justice for the woman was the rest of the story.
Based on a true story, the movie was directed by Sonam Nair.
Right from the beginning the movie was gripping. It was worth watching with family in the comfort of sitting in your house with Ac on.
