this movie has deeper meanings than the surface level going into the Chinese culture, and the fact it has on a mother and daughter’s relationship as well as mental illness and the generational effect that it has in families. All well dissolving the difference between our realities and the reality is around us. The director has such a beautiful mindset as well as being able to portray it in so many scenes. There was so much time and effort putting to this production from every single part of the production team and it’s seen so beautifully.
