Thought I would give it a go, for the $45 I thought was more than reasonable for a game the looked really cool. Anyway, I started with the Aurora MR and straight away was impressed by the detail in the visuals, which everyone mentions regularly, so will leave that as a given. It did not take long at all to realize the complexity of the game, simply looking at the keyboard functions, was mind boggling, and I have still only scratched the surface on that alone! One starts to get a serious realisation of the indepth complication that this game carries. With some research further on google, I discovered that over 700 million had already been crowd funded for the game and the budget now already exceeds 810 million! Soooo, that makes one start to think..... what have I just discovered! The complexity of everything in the game, became at first frustrating, just controlling the ship alone was a vast challenge, but I guess in this sort of game, ship control is probably the most important element that needs to have complexety and an almost endless selection of variety to support the actions of what is going to basically be your home to success and survival in such a game. The realisation then kicks in that, this gmae in an exagerated mindset of imagination, could be taken as an actual realistic future life scenario, or thereabouts! So the journey begins, and what is seamingly and endless one at that as the game is and hopefully, may never be finished so there is always something new to discover. I do however take the side of the gaming community that chooses not to physically buy ships etc for the game, but to rather start at the beginning, with the bare minimal and then gradually but surely earn your ships and entitlements thru the game, even better that there are even items available, (which I do not have yet) that cannot be purchased outside the game. Anyway, back to the beginning. I basically nearly thru the game in after just a week or two, after I had exhausted my free funds and could not even buy fuel! Only to be saved by one salvage mission where I managed to float from my detroyed Aurora to an abandoned ship for salvage, then actually fly it back to a hanger! From there I had to request help for someone with a tractor beam and some water, to save me and unload my salvaged ship. I cannot remember his name, but someone did just that and so the game was saved for me in more ways than one. Without even asking, the friendly helper transferred $1,000,000 into my account, but I think my battle actions failed to impress from there so his intention of me joining his ship and battles, came to an abrupt end. It did not take long for me to nearly blow all the cash, just trying to get my head around how to earn more cash, but eventually I survived and am anxious to play, as I have just moved to NZ and have had to reconstruct my system which will now be running on wireless broadband at only up to 38 mbps down and 16 mbps up, so hopefully will be ok. Seriously good game, I will never stop playing and crediting what must be a massive crew of technicians and programmers to get this game up, running and still growing. I hope the game is never called "complete" and will persist to produce mind blowing effects and genre.
