(SPOILERS)
Overall, there was no way I was going to hate this movie. I love the whole concept of Scarlet Witch too much. Honestly, I think she had the potential to be one of the greatest MCU villains, because she walks the line between villain and hero. No, she is clearly not a goody two shoes by any means. But that scene where she quickly kills the fatally injured man crawling away from the battlefield? That was mercy. She doesn't cause pain just for the sake of it, and that is what makes her a character with a lot of depth. However, her motives in this movie shift significantly towards finding her children who never really existed. I feel like it could have been a lot more compelling if she was instead searching for her brother, Pietro. (MAJOR SPOILER AHEAD)
I also hated the way her death was handled. Yes, she was way too op to be kept alive, and it's not like anybody else is powerful enough to kill her at this point. But I hate that she could have simply walked out of the temple before crushing it, and she would have been just fine. Perhaps the writers we're hinting at suicide, which honestly doesn't surprise me, but it seems like an easy way to get rid of her. Perhaps instead she could have happened upon a universe where her and Pietro were alive and hiding under the rubble from Stark's bomb, but this time her probability powers weren't enough and the bomb exploded, so Scarlet Witch absorbs the explosion and dies saving her brother? I just feel that it could have had more emotional appeal than chasing imaginary children. Overall still a good movie.
