The show has promise... But I have to say its conservate bias gets in the way of it being funny. The problem with conservative humor of this nature is that topics are often just sad and depressing, sort of like kicking a guy while he's down. It's a difficult task to create a comedy while trying to preach. The audience willing to watch this show is likely already conservate. So, the plots, characters, and dialogue are predictable, and play on well established tropes.
Production qualities are just passable. Audio is a bit wonky. Sometimes it's apparent the voice actors are in different studios by the apparent reverberation from their different microphones. Animation is often spotty, with some choreography being limited to a low framerate to save costs, I would wager. Some of the voice acting is good. Megan Kelly shines, as well as some of the other supporting roles. Some voice actors are just phoning it in though: Lack luster, non-emotive renditions just reading a script to collect a check.
I hate writing such a negative review, even a conservative, but the show falls mostly flat. I hope they can turn it around.
