First, having grown up in the Poconos graduating high school in 2000 before going to Philadelphia, I can attest that the onset of this show completely depicts, how ridiculous and idiotic the police force is from my hometown. Having known police chiefs and worked with them in my professional career specifically in the Poconos for an event that I put on there - outside of knowing they were reputable and amazing at their work - The incompetency that is shown in the show outlines the issue with small towns. Terrible police work cops that never left to experience college or anywhere else that still want to be racist or try to show their status to those who return to town as professionals and productive members of society. as experienced by my friends multiple times when just trying to come back and visit our families and enjoy nice evenings out, cops being narrow-minded and not qualified for their roles is something we see far too often. The duplicitous theme in the show is lacking. I feel that there is one very prominent writer and executive producer in Hollywood, who is also from Stroudsburg, who has worked on incredible shows that should have been referenced to help assist in guiding this non-focused show if you wanna call it that. It’s an embarrassment to my hometown, even mentioning Monroe County, which is where where I am from as we are known and call ourselves the Pride of the Poconos for many great reasons which this show is sincerely damaging. Even if it’s fake!!
