I really enjoyed this movie. Before watching, if you have only seen the anime series, you may be disappointed that Yuji Itadori isn't the "main character". This is because this movie is set as a prequel, explaining Yuta (a character that's mentioned multiple times in the mainstream anime series). The animation is top tier, the scenery is gorgeous, the plot is well paced.

The movie is overall visually stunning. The story is a tad bit on the more confusing side, and probably requires a rewatch for most people to understand it's message. I wasn't a big fan of the "romance" aspect of the movie due to the fact that one of the characters is nearing the end of university while the other is still in high school. However, despite the flaws, the story is beautifully presented in a pleasing and emotional frame. I did cry. I urge others to give it a try, and while it's not movie of the year for me, it still is a good movie.
