It's embarrassing seeing all these bots and sheep on here just posting bad reviews because they were told the game was bad. I haven't quite completed it yet but so far the gameplay is a vast improvement on the first and the story so far is intriguing and really keeps me focussed. The sound of the infected is amazing and the suspense in dark rooms and areas is borderline scarier than the actual encounters. It keeps you entertained, and really driven to stay stealthy and not waste resources. The game is challenging (depending on difficulty ofcourse) but not impossible which is a great balance. People are just hating on this game because of what may or may not be 5 bad minutes in the storyline. I am thoroughly enjoying the game especialliy since it was always going to be a very hard ask to top the first game. And for all those that are acting like the game forced a LGBT background onto you, you are an idiot. The first gamed DLC already showed Ellie was Lesbian the whole idea of that is 7years old, it isnt new news. PLEASE PLAY THE GAME BEFORE JUDGING IT, you will probably be surprised at how much you like it. (EDIT): Just finished the game and I am keeping the rating at 5 stars. While I agree the game could have ended differently and feel like they may have just had a sub-par writing moment for that part I would like to point out that the ending fit the narrative of the story actually perfectly. The character development throughout the game all leads towards that type of ending. So again I will reiterate that you NEED to play the game before judging it. I thoroughly enjoyed the 20+ hours of story and will look forward to playing it through again with New Game + to unlock all upgrades.
