I loved this movie when it came out and I watched it again recently and still holds up. It's shocking to me that you look at the "movie critic pages" and they give terrible reviews. And then you look at Google reviews from your average everyday viewers and it's all 4/5 stars. I recently have looked at some of the movies critics top rated reviews. And their movie's I've never heard of from Germany that had a 700k film budget. The movie critics top review was a movie that had a description that said something like, "it's a movie about a 12 year old girl who is coming to grips with the reality that her dad never told her she's Jewish. She struggles with this while trying to find her way threw school antics. Her father is also becoming more and more distant" like uhh what? That sounds like the most boring film I've ever seen and you gave it 5 stars and this 30%? Yeah im done taking the words from rotten tomatoes or metalics critics
