They had the opportunity to make a movie which reflected on the difficulties mixed race people have accepting their race when a minority and feeling like they don’t identify with any one race. Instead it’s about how a mixed race woman chose to identify as black, develop an irrational fear of black people and then guess who the villains are? The dark skinned black people, almost to justify the reasons for her fears. The movie portrays white people as hard working saints and black people as badly behaving delinquents. What a flop.
