It had good moments and bad. Solid acting by the lead couple, but could have used more "meat" for the side characters as well, like when Jonah played basketball surprisingly well and the dad was surprised. After a couple points it felt like it was hitting the expected beats of the genre. All in all, a solid enjoyable film, but improvements can be drawn writing wise in the future for those involved.
