The ladies in our family are BIG fans of the story in the book “All the Light We Cannot See” by Anthony Doerr.
We were excited to see the 4 part mini-series released on Netflix. It was good. If we hadn’t read and loved the book, it might even have seemed “great”. Casting was good, I thought. I do think it’s worth your time to watch and a very fine personal story told from 2 perspectives: a blind French Girl with a role in the Resistance, and a reluctant young German Soldier conscripted against his will to bring his electronics genius to the German Army.
All the Light We Cannot See was a good mini series.
However, It did NOT follow the book closely enough for our liking. Especially 4 of the most impactful scenes. Changed or left out altogether. 😢
