Guys I have to tell you about my new favourite movie which I watched at the imax cinema today with a bunch of pilots... Yes top gun maverick. The original top gun was a huge influence in my life towards wanting to be a pilot (albeit in the military initially) and I have been anticipating the release of a sequel for literally - decades. But never did I imagine it could be this damn good!! By far exceeded my expectations and was even better than the original, which was I thought impossible. There were multiple points in the movie my heart pushing outwards with emotion I had to control myself to avoid embarrassment and blink back the tears, sometimes because of nostalgia to be fair but also the emotion in the movie, the multiple incredible flying stunts, I loved that he got to fight battle in the original f14 Tomcat again in addition to the more modern f18 and there were even some sr72(?) scenes at Mach 10, it was all so incredibly satisfying and when the movie finished I literally couldn't speak for 5 to 10 minutes. No exaggeration. Fortunately it soon become apparent that my colleagues were also avoiding eye contact whilst getting back their composure. Even if action movies aren't your thing, Top gun maverick is the best one ever made and I urge you all to go and see it at the big screen.
