I have letters from my Great Grandfathers Uncle, Harvey Devereaux.
He died during the siege of Nashville, and was originally buried in City cemetery. Growing up in Ohio my Grand mother Thalia (Devereaux) Sooy had a collection of some 62 letters home from Harvey Devereaux. I have managed to collect somewhere near 32. Some are original some are photo copies. I have the letter home from his commanding officer to my Great Great Grandfather E D Devereaux, telling him of his son Harvey's death.
