The main character is excessively bad and the story is written by people who don't understand Star Trek. Bad acting, call outs to 2010's pop culture, and a weak story line for all the main characters.
The best part about the whole thing though is the story continuation of the Klingons which is actually pretty good. And Rainn Wilson....
It's more like a Star Trek fantasy world show than a futuristic science fiction show.
