I'm still reeling from the emotional impact of 'Amarbail'. The author's decision to end the story on a heartbreaking note has left me devastated. Despite the immense suffering the lead characters endured, I felt they deserved a more hopeful conclusion.
The novel's writing style and storytelling were engaging, although some characters felt a bit stereotypical - a reflection of the typical Pakistani political family and the country's law and order system.
My only gripe lies with the ending, which I felt was unfair to both the characters and the readers. A happier resolution would have provided a sense of relief and closure. Nonetheless, 'Amarbail' is a thought-provoking read that will linger in my mind for a while.
