Full disclosure, I am not a film critic, just a Mom whose son directs his own short films. The uncomfortableness of the long pauses of silence in some of the scenes was brilliant. It places the viewer in the room with the actors, anticipating their next response. The acting was incredible with emotional expression that was spot on. Each scene evoked my own emotions as if I was one of the characters. The storyline was heartbreaking and it was impossible to not feel the dad’s raw emotions of hoping the truth was different than what he knew was the truth. A hard watch but a brilliant series. P.S. this is the first time I have taken the time to comment, speaks to the impact of Adolescence.
