My daughter started watching it and I thought “Great, I love the original, this should be good” Anne of Green Gables is my favourite. Well I am glad it is, because Anne with an E is certainly not. So far from the original story it’s almost laughable. I even had to stop my daughter watching it, as it graphically starts to cover topics she is not ready for yet, which the original never delved into. Silly me for thinking she could enjoy a tv series of the novel. Such a shame it has strayed from the original elegance of this era. I under these topics are natural however I just don’t see how it is appropriate to the story line, it doesn’t add anything further to it, in fact it detracts from it. Such a shame.
