For those who have read the book, I think the show wouldn't appeal to them. The character portrayal is okay, but the way the story is taken ahead is unnecessarily lengthing.
Different plot twists were totally unnecessary and not in the book.
Also, Nate and Bronwyn's story didn't do justice to what it was in the book, at all.
They probably should have stuck to the story that's in the book, especially the end.
