I really don't understand people gushing over this show... I was excited after seeing the trailers, but I couldn't make it past 4 episodes. I loved the live action movie, never read the comics. The fact that it's different from the movie is fine. What isn't fine is: The animation quality, its SOOO BAD! characters have two mouth shapes, open / closed. Often not even synced to the voices. It tries to look like particular styles, but fails. The voice acting feels flat, bereft of soul or energy. Everyone sounds like they are phoning it in. The humor just doesn't land, the jokes seem lame, might have to do with the pacing. it feels very mechanical. Like on a set pace the entire series. If you like it fine, but as some who has watched cartoons and anime for decades, and wanted to like this series... It's not even worth the time to finish
