The series was great for me. As big fan of the game have known/expected parts of story/actions. Some have still surprised me. Even when the series is not 100% copy of the game I liked the extensions, changes. Not sure how this series would be seen by person not knowing the game.
Cast was fitting the story and 'close enough' to the original game, with exception of Bella, personally I do not like her, but must admit her performance and also performance of others was really great.
Big appreciation also for Clickers, this is absolutely great work! I also liked the cut, locations, clothing... for me really great work and thanks to complete staff working on this.
Small critical points (but not worth removing star(s)) are about speed of story because the beginning is quite slow and last episode seems rushed, if you do not know the game it would be hard to understand the change in relationship, what the giraffe scene means to the story...
Personally I also miss iconic moments that add to story connection and better understanding of past/future decisions/action like Ellie "first" shooting + Joel 'path' to admit it was necessary (completely different in series), robot (occurrence in 2nd part reminds us about what is Ellie afraid of), photo (lost story of Tommy visiting old house, Ellie 'stealing' it for Joel, Joel finally accepting it)... and definitely miss iconic dialogs of Bill and Ellie, but understand in HBO version this was simply not an option.
