I am an amateur filmmaker and White Bird is inspiring, something I want to emulate. A high standard I know.
The storytelling the use of Sound, Music, the Color… the choice of casts the editing! My God the editing! The direction! The intention is felt.
Aside from it’s social voice and historical importance… The play of Sound and Music is deeply moving and effective tears were running down my cheeks, I am as tensed as the Julian in the theater. I can feel the mother’s agony. I appreciate the tension and the silence. So considerate to give the viewers a breather. Each character were humanized. I need to remind myself that I am just watching a film, or else my heart will continue to throb.
I guess my reaction to the film got my husband curious.
But I wrote this to say Thank you! To the entire cast and crew and for Marc Forster for making this film. I love it!
