Really good film! It hit the message of the book on point, with perhaps a little more to give on the discussion of racism. The cinematography, acting and sound were gorgeous. I would, however, recommend reading the book first because quite a bit of the background detail was absent, particularly that of Kya’s father and the story of Tate and his relationship with Scupper. If only for your love of Kya and Tate, the beautiful marsh, and Taylor Swift, go watch it!
