Don't Look Up is a genius political satire/commentary that tackles a dark theme with comedy and grace. The story was believable, and the focus on how the impending apocalypse affects each character was even better. The talent in this move truly shines through too! Meryl Streep truly outdid herself, and the emotional monologues from Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence were gut wrenchingly raw. The movie ending in disaster was a satisfying conclusion too, and a bit of a twist since most stories nowadays always end with sunshine and rainbows. The screenwriter's commitment to delivering us a story that isn't afraid to have a real but unhappy ending is commendable, especially when a happy ending is the uninspired norm. It was also refreshing to see the mental and social impacts of this apocalypse being portrayed. The main characters are battered, belittled, and reviled as if they're somehow to blame, and we see the effects of this onscreen. The visibility and message that it's OK to feel like this is a positive one that Don't Look Up portrayed well! In essence, Don't Look Up is a fantastic film and call to action on climate change. It challenges our preconceived notions of everything just working out and gives the viewer an uncomfortable narrative to confront, AKA a hallmark of genuine media that makes the viewer think for a change.

Irresistible is an incredibly witty movie that takes fair jabs at both sides of the political spectrum. This political satire is brilliantly written and performed, I highly recommend giving it a try!

Raya is a terribly rushed ATLA knockoff with poor messaging, stolen themes/jokes, and incomplete storytelling all wrapped up in pretty visuals. The characters are given little depth as the story is rushed along from Warrior-Cat named place to the next, with Raya standing out as a knockoff Moana clone and Sisu being a 'dragonfied' Elsa. The whole "con baby" mess also ties into how this movie tries to make meta jokes. They devoted an entire scene of Sisu buying things with "credit" which completely shattered any illusions of the timeframe they were aiming for. It was like the writers were trying to make jokes that kids and parents could both enjoy, but failed miserably with Amy Schumer levels of humor. The whole theme of "trust" isn't in trusting your friends, but in trusting traitorous clods that would kill you without a second glance. Great messaging for kids, Disney! If you want *quality* content inspired from Asian cultures, go watch Avatar the Last Airbender and not this sloppily thrown together pander movie.

This show about Greek Mythology said "Hercules" instead of Heracles. If you need a summary for how terrible this show is, then there you have it. Basically, this show: -Made Hera, the Queen Mother, patron of families, try to tear her family apart and kill Zeus. -Made the Gods forget about being aloof and just invite a bajillion random bozos to Olympus. -Made the Fates spider themed, despite that being impossible with Greek Mythology's timeline- Spiders only came into being with Arachne, well after the Fates came into being. -Made the main protagonist, Heron, a screamy, shallow fool who I felt no sympathy or connection with. At one point, he was being chased by monsters and instead of grabbing this OP lightsaber sword that's 15 feet away, he just leaves it there for the villain to pick up, like a total clod. -Gave the other side characters zero backstory or cohesion with Heron. -Made the main antagonist, demon dude, a screamy, shallow fool who I felt no sympathy or connection with. Oh, and plot twist- he was actually Heron's brother all along. We're hitting levels of contrivity that shouldn't be possible with that one. -They ended the show with Zeus actually dying, which contradicts the God's immortal nature. Go watch the Percy Jackson movies instead of this hot mess, because at least with those you can laugh with the author!
