Dee Johnsson – Google

As a westerner you can sometimes watch an Asian show and, because of the cultural differences, it will seem a bit cringey in places; but this is something you soon get over once you stop being so Western and just take it for what it is. This show is excellent and a great place to start if you aren't familiar with Asian TV drama. The acting is top notch, especially from Ryota Bando, who plays the autistic brother Michito. An absolute flood of awards should be heading his way after this. The story is great and reinforces the value of close family while at the same time learning to accept change. Really, really wonderful stuff. Do yourself a favour and watch it.

Don't believe anything you read about the band dissing this album. Sure it isn't like Jon Anderson era Yes, but neither was the Trevor Rabin stuff they did. Once you get a grasp on Davidson's melodic style you'll get it. Unlike anything else out there, it is multi-layered and really inventive. It could do with a major remix though, to make it a bit more impactful - one of the things that put me off at the start was that it didn't pack a punch aurally, but who knows - they might give it the remix it needs, like they did with Fly From Here.
