I didn’t like it at all.
Maybe for casual movie watchers this film was “fun”. But it sadly doesn’t get the love from me as a major Marvel fan.
I’m a big happy nerd with my marvel movies. Even when they aren’t that good I still appreciate them! All marvel movies are at least a 7/10 to me..
This one would be lower then that.
This one really got under my skin because of how much potential it had and then it just flopped.
There was so many different approaches to this movie to make it something to rival infinity war! And it just didn’t. I like Sam raimi and his work for movies like Evil dead. It’s not my scene but “horror” films are meant to give you cheap jump scares and graphic unpleasing imagines. Some like that. Others like myself like horror for “one off” movies… not a Marvel movie and especially not one that is suppose to introduce us to the MULTIVERSE.
They tried way too hard to make this feel like a horror movie which even then, it didn’t feel like one at all. It just felt like bad camera shots of too in the characters face moments and “jumpscares” that 9.5 times out of 10 of them didn’t even land.
it missed the horror element entirely.
But the worst part is you walk out of this movie with NO canon pathways to the next films promised.
You get Cameos that make you wanna jump out of your seat in tears of joy and then….. Gone. Nothing else blooms from what’s seen. A matter a fact, You walk out with less, confused how there’s even going to be movies for the future.
The saving grace to this movie to me is the thought that this film is about the multiverse and there’s a chance all of this we see doesn’t matter because there’s another Universe that things went right.
Sadly, this movie shows how the multiverse can Totally flop in the wrong hands.
