Wow some people are hating on this.
I disagree- it's not diversity just for the sake of diversity
also i don't think they put tony stark down at all- but the fact that he had money DID change some things, and it makes sense that someone struggling for resources to be salty about it. that does not need to change tony states legacy in YOUR mind, but it would be odd if she didn't care. plus no one but us as the audience got a deep dive into who tony stark actually is.
my biggest critique is that i really liked the eat-the-rich underdogs angle, but we didn't get to see them as a team. i wanted to know more about the other characters there and see them interact and have good chemistry, but i feel that was a missed opportunity.
Also!!! in a time where ai is taking over the world- and also destroying our resources and being used for evil, i did not like how they romanticized it. ai is not human and i don't think they properly showed that n.a.t.a.l.i.e. is just a figment of riri's mind, especially in a way that would leave her wanting more and set up the end. they said it- but didn't show it.
overall it was fun, i do like that it wasn't good vs. evil and i understood riri's decision throughout. the theme about power and corruption was obvious and there were a lot of parallels between the characters, without it becoming too predictable.
