I almost jumped off a bridge because of this book. The humour is dryer than a Starbucks sandwich, and most of the time it's completely inappropriate. The topic of climate change and and SA is very serious and does not belong with the tomfoolery that the author tried, and failed spectacularly, to add. The introduction of Lincoln and Travis was so random, it was like the author hit her head and forgot what book she was writing, before listening to a drake song and being inspired to add him to her book. It was interesting how Mitch's sacrifice was so played up and made to be very important in the first 2 chapters of the book, then it is mentioned a single time in the rest of the book. Finally how in the flying FUCK does Minerva cause a Chernobyl fucking meltdown with her mind, is this some low quality internet shitpost? She is seen being utterly useless and senile for most of the book, be even more brain dead and useless after Riri's death, then suddenly gain the power to cause a second Hiroshima after planning a sacrifice, when she COULD HAVE FUCKING TOLD THE GANG AND THEY COULD HAVE RAN AWAY WITH EVERYONE INTACT. I understand they would still have recruiters on their tail if they run away but them being chased is so poorly mentioned that it might as well not be there, just like the author's dad. The sex scene was the only redeeming point of this book, and it wasn't even explicitly stated. Riri deserves what happened to her for interrupting Frenchie and Rose. After-all, CP is the only way this book gets sales because no one in their right mind would walk away from reading this book without a couple mental health issues.
