I've only watched the first two episodes but It was really hard to get through. I have been looking forward to this reboot for months, but it seems a little forced. Bill Camp sounds like he's TRYING to impersonate Peter Thomas... and failing horribly to do so. It's almost sad. I agree with the other comments saying they could have easily found someone else to narrate in their own unique way. This reboot seems a little too formulaic, and canned.
More than anything though, what bothers me most is the LACK OF SCIENCE. it's almost as if the show runners have dumbed down the show for audiences because they think we're too stupid. I loved the original forensic files because it didn't shy away from terms like "gas chromatography" and really appreciated their succinct explanation of scientific methods/testing/and tools used to provide the forensic evidence leading to a crime being solved.
I really hope it gets better.
