This is an amazing online writing and reading curriculum. With so many ways to entertain. If your child loves to learn, they will love this. Even with some reluctant learners I bet you they will enjoy this. And, parents have to be aware that you will have to probably help a lot depending on he childs skill level, but nothing is impossible. I had to homeschool because home life became chaotic, but this gives me a peace of mind. And 60$ for a year is awesome, with so many features, and my son is always doing challenges. Depending on skill lvl you might have to adjust the difficulty setting, but my son is about to turn 6 next month and even he, who doesn't ever want to read.. loves this app and will request it if he ever sees me pull it up on my computer. Won't work on any other electronic than a computer, but it makes sense because kids are literally typing everything out, they need more space to see and do things. It's not mindless, not repetitive, my son loves the battles, and he likes to give me his input on what he wants to write. Loves to make his own characters, he started out just typing whatever for character names, but when I requested to help him spell them out and type, all of a sudden he started having creative juices. As a side note, we had quite the life the last few years, as some can agree, and he lost his sense of wanting to learn, from other things happening. But basically, I got him this to inspire him, and I think this is a winner. I looked at all of the one star reviews and I'm kinda laughing because all of them say that they got charged after the trial week and didn't get a refund. Well no duh, did they cancel before it expired? The system didn't tell them before they did? You mean when you put in the card and signed off on an agreement to pay within a few days? Anyone who wrote this, I'm completely disappointed in them, because this is a gem. It might even revolutionize how kids learn in the future, in a fun, non-constricting, engaging and non-intimidating way. My hat goes off for these people, because I hope my son sticks to this, even though this is our first month, he recognizes and doesn't get burnt out by the program. And he has dyslexia and ADHD. Don't let the other comments full you, if the app kept on forgiving people and reimbursing them time and time again, it wouldn't be this cool. There's advertising for it for a reason, and people are hating on a good thing for a reason. Just think about it.
