This book made me SMILE and feel HAPPY. Storyline is great, author Sarah Beth Durst has written a VERY imaginative story, and I was wishing that I could go to the island of Caltrey, live there and help Kiela run the Spellshop. Kept me rooting for the shop, Kiela, Caz and all the rest of the inhabitants on the island. Anxiously awaiting her next book!

This is a VERY GOOD book. The storyline is great, the reader is plunged into the story and it is VERY DIFFICULT to put it down because of wanting to know what will happen to the characters. The German occupation and what they did to the Jewish people is very hard to think about and know that they actually did those things but this story keeps the reader intrigued from the very first page until the last page. ABSOLUTELY loved this book. Very descriptive and written in such a way that even though you are just reading the book it becomes very real to the reader as well as the characters. Pam Jenoff, a very good author of the book, hats off to you! This is an ABSOLUTELY A MUST READ book.

This is a great story--when reading it you feel as if you are right there in the story. Descriptions of the country and the small town life is good. However the author doesn't need to use the F___ word all the time. It doesn't add to the story and it makes me not want to keep reading it because of the filthy language.

The storyline is great, descriptions of the country makes one feel as if they were there and it's very interesting. However, the language at times is terrible 😞 one doesn't have to use the f____ word all the time, it doesn't add to the story AT ALL. And if anything it makes one not want to continue reading. I wish the author would not use that kind of filthy language in such a good story!!!!!
