Rollercoaster. Beautiful and tragic insight into the worst period in modern history with a real approach to the effects of depression and suicide on loved ones. One cousin who suppresses and carries on with his daily routine regardless of pain and feelings, while the other is consumed with manic episodes and can’t see the sheer joy and inspiration he evokes in others naturally.
I loved the thought provoking topics in this film, and although the pace may have been slow for some, it was the perfect speed to allow the emotions to ebb and flow. The trauma and sorrow was interspersed with humour, shock tactics and cringe moments. I enjoyed the cinematography and gentle backstory of their miracle in a million grandma. 5 stars all day long
