I understand that in most movies, you need to stretch your mind a little to believe everything. With Star Wars, you could tear the series apart when it comes to disbelief. But Rise of Skywalker was way too far-fetched. For example, if Luke could use the force even when he was dead, then why didn't he fight? I mean, if a ghost can still use the force, why didn't he fight? Also, if Sidious returned from the dead, why didn't he bring back Vader or Tarken? The return-from-the-dead part of the story is kind of weird. Star Wars usually elaborates more on those types of things.
But also, the movie, in general, was poorly made. The scene changes were abnormal and off, and the story was long but fast. And what was the point in erasing C3-PO's memory if he just gets it back later? I just think the storyline needed some more work, really.
However, there was some good humor and action packed into this movie. Despite all the cons, it wasn't completely horrible. It's worth seeing, especially if you're not a huge Star Wars geek.
In conclusion, I think Rise of Skywalker was Disney's failed attempt to end a franchise. In the future, I think we need to see more George Lucas and less Walt Disney. Thank you for reading my review.
