I had such high hopes for this movie but we ended up walking out of it partway because we were so bored. This movie felt forced, uninspired and unnecessary. I don’t understand the accolades its receiving beyond the fact that it’s stop motion and the cricket was the best character in my opinion. Had we known we could’ve watched this on Netflix we wouldn’t of spent the money. The Shape of Water is a tall mountain to surpass, and this just didn’t make it. Not for me I guess.
