Onward is the kind of movie I want to see more creators writing and animating in the future. Fun, quirky, heart-wrenching, hopeful...you can't beat it. It's uplifting without feeling like you were forced into a cookie cutter ending. If you don't tear up at the end and want to hug your family (biological or chosen), you missed something. This is a film I've recommended to people of all ages. It's not just for kids! I hope the loss of revenue due to the coronavirus shutdown doesn't discourage the studio from making more movies like this.
