It's creepy because Christian Longo is a real person who killed his wife, their three children, assumed the identity of a reporter and manipulated the jury at his trial by pleading NG to killing his kids then pleading guilty to killing his wife. Luckily for the police and prosecution team, he was easy to find after he fled Oregon and easy to convict because his testimony was completely transparent. Death row was too easy of a sentence for him. He was a master at manipulation. Good movie.
