It was the send-off of a great franchise but it was not such a great movie. I would characterize it as a series of short films with good action scenes yet no sense of how those short films blended together. In one short film, Ethan is in the dungeon of a cript fighting the bad guy next wee jump to the next short film and he is running across London on what would have been a full marathon to save his friend who is held captive in another cript with a nuclear bomb and jump to the next scene and he is on his knees somehow discovered by the CIA or some American agency walking into a meeting with the US president after flying halfway around the world. The classic scene was freezing to death under the artic ocean covered by feet of ice only to awake in a hiperbareck chamber cuddling with his female teamate. It was not great - if you really want to see it wait for a home movie night. I think I am being generous with a 2/5.
